Our Mission — Our mission is to reach Ethiopians all over the world with the Gospel.

Grace Ethiopian Outreach Ministry was founded in 1993 in Oakland, California with a vision to evangelize. It has come a long way from its small beginings. We now have an office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and one in the California bay area. We began with an emphasis on humanitarian assistance but we have since grown in vision and scope to include: mass evangelism, radio, bible school, translation, health, church planting and local church support.

Mass Evangelism — Rev. Dereje Fantaye travels to Ethiopia about twice a year to conduct crusades in different parts of Ethiopia. Crusades have been done in the North, South and East of Ethiopia and in predominantly Muslim areas.

Radio — Radio is one of the means we used to reach people with the Gospel. Voice of Grace Radio used to transmit from South Africa on Saturday and Sunday evenings at 9pm Ethiopian time. The signal reached 15 - 20 million listeners all over Africa and the Middle East. You can listen to some of our radio messages by clicking here. We plan to revive this ministry on the Internet.

Bible College — Grace Bible College opened its doors in March of 2000. The school provides certificate and degree programs at centers in different locations in Ethiopia and through correspondence. We have graduated 1400 students to date.

Health — The health ministry was the first indigenous mission work in Ethiopia when it started in 1991. We collect and donate medical supplies and medicine to health centers. So far, we have been able to make donations to the Ethiopian Red Cross, Mekane Yesus Church, and Vision of Hope Ministry.

Translation — We translate English Biblical materials and make such material available to Churches and ministries. We have translated a booklet called Bible, God's Hand Book.

Support to local churches — We have supported and encouraged local Churches by providing them with some them with spiritual literature, bible study material, choir robes, musical instruments and cash assistance.

Church Planting — Rev. Dereje has planted his second Church in the California bay area. Bethlehem Ethiopian Church is located on Telegraph St. in the city of Berkeley.
